There is a different code for each metropolitan location where it is valid. I currently only know of the following:
San Francisco: HORNITOSSF
San Diego: HORNITOSSD
Your ride will be free if it’s <$10. Promotion expires Sunday.
If your location is not listed, try just opening the app. You might see a pop up window advertising the promotion (that’s how I found this).
Samsung Pay is having another 20% off gift card promotion. To purchase, open the app, click Gift Cards, Add, and Buy Gift Cards. I can’t seem to find the terms and conditions, so I’m not sure when this promotion ends. Also, there is a limit of 4 gift cards purchased per day. Most of these are $50 denominations, so that comes out to $200 in face value purchased per day.
The following brands are on sale: AMC Theatres, Buca di Beppo, Crazy 8, Famous Footwear, Gymboree, Hallmark, Hotels.com, Kohl’s, Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Q, Petco, Regal Entertainment, rue21, TGI Fridays, Toys R Us, Under Armour.
Kohls and Toys R Us are the best targets for reselling. Giftcard Zen is currently paying 82.5% for Kohl’s, and ABC Gift Cards is paying 80% for Toys R Us. Both allow electronic submission as well.
This is a good way to rack up some spend for a signup bonus, to earn Samsung Rewards (sign up — they just launched), and to make a small profit if you’re buying Kohl’s.

Enter code AMEXAIRPORT in the Uber app prior to requesting a ride, select an American Express Card as payment, and complete your trip(s) before 12/31/16. Up to $65 will be deducted from the cost of your next two airport rides, with the remainder being charged to your American Express card. You must enter the airport name in the pick-up location in the Uber app when requesting your rides.
Obviously, you need to already have an American Express account, and the free rides work only from the following airports:
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
- John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW)
- Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- McCarran International Airport (LAS)
- George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
- Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
- Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
This is a great deal if you can use it. Add the code to your app beforehand if you think you might.
Via Doctor of Credit, there is a new link for the Merrill + Visa Card which offers 50,000 points after $3,000 spend in 90 days.
The points can be redeemed for $500 cash but can also be worth up to $1,000 if redeemed for flights, also known as Anytime, Anywhere Air Rewards. The flight rewards cost 25,000 points for flights up to $500, i.e. 2 cents/point. For flights over $500, you must continue redeeming your points at a value of 1 cent/point until all of your points are exhausted. You may then pay the remaining balance with your card.
So in theory, you should be able maximize your value by either finding flights very close to $500 or by purchasing flights >$500 when you have just 25,000 points in your account.
Aside from the bonus, there’s not much else exciting about this card, but it’s definitely worth picking up for the bonus alone.
This card is basically only worth it for the signup bonus. Keep in mind that it is subject to Chase’s 5/24 rule.
